Press “Sleep”

My Mama Remote would have really came in handy today.  On my way home from work I was overcome by sleep.  I started off listening to some motivational cd’s but had to switch up to stay woke.   I finally made it home and my mind was made up.  You couldn’t squeeze a hot meal out of me.  Every man, girl, boy and girl was for himself. 

As I was trying to wind down, my son was loud and obnoxious(press mute).  My daughter was on the table, being her little “two” self(press pause) and hubby was playing his PSP(pressing buttons).   Then I had an epiphany.  Press “Sleep”!  Press it!  Gone press it!  Oh, Oh,  there isn’t one. 

You know what I mean “Stop” the noise, “Mute” the kid with the big mouth and “Pause” that other girl with the emotions and attitude.  You remember, when your Mama would say, “your lip gone get stuck like that”.  I couldn’t wait for bed time!   Longing for that thang that I wish had been invented or had came attached to the umbilical cord, my Mama Remote.
