I’m so thankful for my husband. He’s so good at making sure his family is taking car of. We all have trials & troubles in our relationships but, when you know that you will overcome them because of the love you have for one another makes it all worth it.
In marriage realtionships it so important to hold one another accountable. Sometimes things may not be going so well and you may need a little push. Some encouragement, someone to tell you how much you’re needed and loved. That all makes us feel that the struggle isn’t in vain.
On my way home Wednesday, my transmission went out on my car. My “Man” came to my rescue! Long story short. It was going to take the tow truck until the next morning to pick up my car. So, we did some Bonnie & Clyde type stuff.lol He pushed my car with his truck all the way home(about 5 miles). It took us an hour and a half to get home. We did this late at night so that there won’t be many vehicles on the street.
The whole ride home….He’ll pull up behind me and push my car for awhile… then i’d coast awhile. We’d repeat the process all the way home. While we were driving, we had our phones on speaker phone so we could communicate. At times he’d go a little faster & my car would swerve a bit. I’d tell him to slow up. He’d stop pushing and I’d coast a bit.
Me and my, “always getting something out the story”, self began to think(uh oh!)…..
They’re are times in our lives when you may be feeling down or depressed. Those are the times you need someone in your life to encourage you(give you a push). The push you need is only temporary. It shouldnt be for a life time, just to help you get back on track. We have to be willing to take those pushes as fuel so we can get back on the road “of life” and move forward. If we go through life always needing someone to push us? Our lives will forever be out of control.
Who are you thankful for? Who is that person that helps you get back on track when you are traveling down a lonely dark road or a road that you wish to not travel on?
Thankful For The Push

I gave this some serious thought. Mostly it is my husband, but really my role in my family is the one that does the pushing. I find the thing that usually jump starts me is music. I have particular songs that I listen to until I make my way through. Right now, On Up The Mountain by Jakob Dylan.
