I want to take this time and wish you a Merry Christmas. Today is the day my family celebrate the birth of Christ our Savior. This year my husband & I decided to do something different. Not to purchase a whole bunch of stuff. We talked it over with the kids & didn’t get any objections. Maybe since they where on strict supervision, gave us the upper hand. Our daughter brought her grades back up so, she did get all her electronics back. You better believe she thought it was Christmas.
Today, I’m going to go ole’ school…..I’m thankful for all the necessities in our life. The food, clothes, roof over our head, health & strength.
From our family to yours.
We wish you a healthy, blessed, peaceful, joyous & prosperous Christmas.
Love

That’s a great idea to only give 3 gifts. This year was all about getting back to the real meaning of Christmas. Have a Happy New Year.
There’s nothing like a stress fre holiday. You’re so right, our children want the simple things. It’s us that let things get out of control. I’m glad you and the kids enjoyed the holiday
I totally agree with not going pairing down on Christmas gifts. We did the same this year and honestly, I wouldn’t mind getting to the place where we only give each of our children just one present for Christmas. The interesting thing is when I asked my older son what was his favorite thing about Christmas this year his response was “That everyone was so happy and Mom & Dad didn’t fight.” Unfortunately, last year my hubby and I ended up in an argument (Ugh!) and that ruined the holiday for everyone. It’s sad how sometimes as parents, we over look the small things that scar our children. We had a beautiful Christmas this year and I’m glad next year my son can recall this past Christmas with sweet memories.
Merry Christmas to you! We (aside from the puppy) cut back this year too. Kids were given only 3 gifts each as that is what Jesus was given. We wanted the small people to focus on the reason for Christmas – not just the gifts. Hope your holiday was beautiful!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!
