Out of Control

OutOfControlHave you ever had circumstances in your life that you can’t control. You would love to get out of the situation with two words or maybe three words. It’s so easy to say I quit! It’s over! Leave me alone! You get the picture.

Maybe it’s something that keeps you tied to the situation? It could be money. It could be love or maybe infatuation. What if this “Thing” that you wish to leave in the dust, is causing you to do things you feel to be immoral, heart wrenching or down right dirty!   In the same breath this thing brings you financial support/stability, security and leaves you out of the statistics?

Nevertheless, until I’m able to control my uncontrollable situation…. I have to be able to live in peace & hope that one day there will be better circumstances.  How do you deal with uncontrollable circumstances in your life?  Do you disconnect emotionally, pray or talk to someone you trust?  Please share with me your thoughts.

That’s a hard one. I have done all three of those things in a couple of uncontrollable situations. I have disconnected, been advised to quit, realized my spirit was being destroyed by the situation, but found quitting wasn’t the answer for this and added work hard and fight like hell to get a change. I have also been in a place where fighting it got me nowhere and it was something I had to set down, be at peace with myself for doing all I could, risk a loss and let God do the work, which he did. I guess what it comes down to is asking yourself if your spirit can withstand what you are going through? If it is causing serious damage to who you are and you don’t think you can repair it, it might be that you should quit and pray for God to see you through that decision and give you the strength to handle the pain or difficulties. Oh dear, is this long enough for you? I’m a Libra I could sit here all day weighing all the sides to something and never give a clear answer.:)
