I’m so honored to have a very special guest today. Motpg is visiting and this won’t be her last. Sit back, relax, grab your favorite Latte and join in the conversation.

Hi, I’m Motpg, or Mom of the Perpetually Grounded. I’m a 44 year old Wife &
Mom finding , or stumbling my way through raising my three daughters.

I am very flattered to be asked to do a guest post on Help! MamaRemote…
for Motivational Monday. The first week I started blogging I was wandering
around on MomBlogNetwork trying to find other blogs from Moms with at least
one teenager. I had exhausted all the possibilities under T for moms of
teens and thought, where can they be, what is a clue that someone might name
their blog. I knew why I was looking so I thought, Ah Ha…Help! Under H! And
there she was! Though I suspect her one teenage daughter is better behaved
than all 3 of mine put together on a good day! She was the first person I
followed and the first to follow back. It made me feel real, I wasn’t out
there alone anymore, and helped motivate me to keep going. Thank You,
Nicole!

I spend most of my life trying to motivate the people around me and I
wanted to sum it up as “simply” as possible. (something I have trouble with)
I remembered a few years ago I was Christmas shopping for my daughters and
came across some bracelets that each had an engraving with one word. Only
one word, but each capable of meaning volumes. They were exactly what I
wanted to tell each of them. The 1st was JOY. My youngest daughter was
going through a period of deep sadness and I chose it to help her remember
to seek Joy and it will find you. The 2nd was DREAM. I chose this for my
middle daughter. She spends most of her time dreaming and I spend a lot of
time trying to motivate her to be more practical, so I wanted to make clear
to her that in spite of that, I always want her to have Dreams, never forget
them. The 3rd was BE. This one affected me most. That simple word held
everything I would say to my oldest child. She had spent difficult years
transforming herself into different people, as I guess many of us do at
times, trying to find who to be and had only recently realized she only had
to “be” herself, and that it brought us happiness simply that she could BE
in existence.

.

So I think in these 3 words we can find something to Motivate us All.
Simply:

*Dream and seek Joy in the truth that you are here to Be.*

Wow, raising teen girls can not be easy! And yes Nicole, those words are definitely found in my life stages too. And at the moment I am still daily trying to fit in all 3. Live everyday with Joy, don’t forget about my Dreams, and just Be, be who I am how I want to be and everything else will fall into place.

These 3 words resignate in my life in stages. Be- was my teenage years. I had some struggles as a teenager. Joy- was my adult life. In my mid 20′s I accepted Christ as my savior. Dream-is the life I’m living now. Although I’m dreaming, I have to wake up to make my dreams a reality. Thanks for the encouraging words. :-)
