Technically I go nuts this time of year!

[media-credit id=1 align="alignleft" width="150"][/media-credit]I know I’ve talked about my husband going overboard in his garden…..but…I’m not far from him. I spent some time yesterday planting some annuals in pots. There’s a few garden centers I love to go to for ideas. However, the arrangements are a bit pricey for me. They cost around $59.95 with a variety of annuals. So, what I do is go to the centers and get ideas. Here’s one I worked on yesterday. This picture to the left is my inspiration. Sorry the shot isn’t clearer. I have to take a picture of a picture on my hubby’s phone. Look closely and you’ll see the basket handle on top.

I started with my basket. This is one that I already had. I lined it with plastic and punched holes in it for drainage.

Then I picked up a variety of annuals from Wal-Mart

Next I placed them in my basket to see which ones will go in the basket.

Last, I removed them from their containers, placed them in the basket and added some potting soil. I’ll show some pics in a few weeks when everything fills in. So, tell me what do you think. Looks like you got it to me! That’s a gorgeous mix. I used to do potted annuals but for some reason I just don’t anymore.
