Yucky

We picked our first batch of greens and look what I found. YUCK! A Cabbage Worm! I QUIT!!! I can quit and go back to buying them in a can or in a bag. BUT…. Who knows what’s lurking inside.

Sorry to creep you out. I’m a gardening sissy!

Hey my mother is from the south and we grow our greens every year. She makes sure that I have cleaned them well and if we have a little friend in the pot, she scoops it out and continues. They probably put worse into the ones in the can. There are nothing like fresh greens from the garden.

Ha! I had a garden a few years back and I tried growing romaine lettuce. The lettuce itself grew beautiful, and I was so excited to cut it and bring it in to wash it and serve it up… but then I’d find earwigs in it. No matter how much I washed it I just couldnt eat it. There’s grass now where my garden was.
