WTFlashback did they say?

We all remember a phrase that our parents said and you may have said, “I’ll never tell my child that!”  I remember like it was yesterday.  Here are a few….

1.”We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.”

2.”Your Daddy isn’t a glass maker!” (That’s when you stood in front of the T.V)

3.”I’m about to go see a man about a dog.” It took me 30 yrs to realize it meant none of my business.

What do you remember your mom, dad, grandparent saying when you were growing up?

Oh mercy. My family had the best country sayings in the world! It is fun to think back to those, isn’t it?

“Do what I say and not what I do” and “life isn’t fair” were my all-time favorites. I still get irked thinking about it.

Oh there are soooo many, “Hard head makes a soft behind”, “The cow didn’t fall in the ditch today (shouldn’t be doing housework on Sunday), and my fav “You are gonna know sh###ing from sneezing”. My mom is special isn’t she.

My parents did the usual I guess but my all time favorite is when I was 19 and told them I was moving out to live with my future husband before we were married. My Dad seriously said the “why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free” one. I almost died right there!
