Family Night Movie: McKenna Shoots For The Stars

I seem to have the hardest time deciding on a movie to watch.  Either when I’m going to the video store, searching the TV or Netflix, I scroll and stroll and scroll and scroll and have the hardest time finding a movie something that interest me.  However, yesterday I went to pick out a movie for us to watch and after looking around I decided on ‘McKenna Shoots For The Stars’ and I was so glad that was the movie of choice.

When I first came home with the movie my son questioned me about it.  Asking was it a girly movie and why did I get that and he thought I was getting this.  I told him to chill and let’s see what it’s about.  ‘McKenna Shoots For The Stars’, is a story of an American Girl, a gymnast who was facing challenges in school, athletics and her friendships. This movie was so right on point because of some challenges we’re facing with my son. During the movie my husband hit me  to get my attention and tell me I made a great choice.  My daughter enjoyed the movie so much that I’m now on the look out for more American Girl movies.

If you have kids dealing with some of the situations, McKenna faced, check it out on a movie night with your family.  If not, it’s still a great movie to watch!  Make sure you have some Kleenex. (See movie trailer below)
