Homeschooling: Motivational Tattoos

This morning I stopped at another one of my favorite stores, Dollar Tree. After dropping my son off at school I decided to run in and see if they had anything I needed or new. Realizing there wasn’t anything I needed I picked up a couple homeschooling things for my daughter. I was looking for something to use as a reward system to give her after she completes her school work.  A chart or board we can use to put stickers on or smiley faces.  That’s when I came across these Motivational Tattoos. What child doesn’t like stickers and what child wouldn’t be motivated to get a tattoo for a reward?

One of the things I like about them is that they don’t necessarily have to be used for completing school work only.  They can also be used after she has completed her chores.  Like this morning…before starting her lessons in the morning I have her go in her room while I do my morning routine (keep her out of my way).  Before we were able to start her lesson she had to make sure everything was put back in it’s rightful place before starting.  When she was done she was able to pick out a tattoo of choice.

Do you use a reward system with your children for doing chores, good deeds etc?  If so, what reward system do you use and why?

  1. i think that’s a great idea! i also have to admit I cracked up because when my oldest was 14 and I took her out of school for getting in trouble and started homeschooling her there is nothing she would have liked better than a tattoo for a reward. But she probably would have chosen a skull with snakes in it or something : )
