I spent last weekend and Mother’s Day spray painting my craigslist find. You remember my little ugly duckling…
Let’s start with the table. At first I was going to attempt to tighten up the loose resin pieces and spray paint it the same as the chairs until I noticed that underneath the resin was wrought iron. I decided to strip all the resin off and clean it and not spray paint it.
The chairs and love seat
I spray painted them Satin Expresso. I think I used a total of 6 spray paint cans at a cost of $3.77 each from Wal-Mart.
The cushions… I was anxious for new cushions. In fact, that was what I wanted for Mother’s Day, but after cleaning the cushions, flipping them on the opposite side and adding some accessories… I began to be at peace with it. I would like to get new cushions when I replace the ones to my table set again. They’re a burgundy with a floral pattern and are in great shape. The cushions I’ve seen in stores don’t flow with them and again after flipping them over everything ties in nicely.
She’s no longer an ugly duckling and not a swan in entirety, but pleasing to my eyes. Didn’t she clean up well?
