Motivational Monday – Heading to Super Sectionals

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Last week was a bit busy & I hope this week is as well. My daughter’s team has made it to the Super Sectionals. This is another crucial game which will determine the final 4 teams that go down state to play in the Illinois Championship. Last year they placed 2nd in the state.

I think we are beyond excited over here! Seriously! I spent this weekend making banners for the team & one for my daughter. My husband says I’m a groupie. LOL I can live with that.

This is the team poster. I got a bit creative on this one. My daughter gave me one of her old jerseys. I split it in half and glued it to the board. If you look at the bottom left, you’ll see that I attached a basketball net to the board & on the far right I laced up some shoestrings.

Here is the one I made for my daughter.

To cap everything off, I went and brought some window paint to put on Hubby’s truck. We representing!

So, tommorow is the day and I hope to post some good news soon.

Thinking of You (Card)

The weather last week here in Chicago had me thinking Spring was approaching. That didn’t last long. It’s wet and cold here once again. However, I wasn’t about to let that get me down. So, today the kids and I went into creative mode & I made this card to help keep my hopes up. I’m “Thinking of You” Spring! You’re on my mind everyday and every night niiiight! (In my El Debarge voice)

I’m ready to play in the dirt. I told my husband last week that I wanted to start planning for the garden. He tends to go OVERBOARD! I think he thinks knows I’m crazy anxious. What about you, are you still singing the winter blues or have you been thinking of spring too?

Things I’m Loving This Thursday. Don’t Mess With A Mama With a Loaded Gun!

I’m in love this Thursday! This week I’m linking up with Teresha over at Marlie and Me for her Things I’m Loving This Thursday blog hop. After the Christmas Holiday I was left with no double sided tape. My daughter spent an entire day making Christmas cards for her teammates and coaches. Leaving me with nonstick Cricut mats, no more tape & no scraps! I should have been checking the garbage for scraps. I don’t throw away any scraps and after she completed another project last week, I found a garbage can filled with craft-able scraps! GRRRRRRR!

With my new YouTube obsession. I’ve seen other crafters armed and dangerous! Armed with an ATG, Advance Tape Glider. I fell in love! Fell in love of the thought of being armed and DANGEROUS (In my Micheal Jackson voice)! Not to mention, It’ll take me a while before I run out of rounds of ammunition! HAHA!!!! So, I set out on a mission. I went to Micheal’s and they had it for $39.99. A little bit to steep for me! I began to think about all The Coupon Sista has taught me. So, I began to search for coupons. BooYah!!!!! Found a 40% off coupon in my Sunday paper. After using my coupon, I paid a little bit over $25.00!

So, not only am I loving my ATG gun this Thursday. I’m loving coupons!!!!!!! I’m DANGEROUS!!!!!!DANGEROUS!!!!!!(In my Micheal Jackson voice again)
