Technically it’s been a year.

This month is my Blog Anniversary.  WooHoo!  One year that i’ve been doing this blog thang and I’m enjoying it!  So, what I want to do is repost some of my first blog postings.  It’s cool to look back on some things I’ve wanted to do and haven’t done yet. lol  I also that it strang that last year this time I was thinking of doing the same thing…..Decluttering!  As you can see this has been an ongoing battle.  Also here’s a pic of the end results of our closet.  I painted red because we had some paint left over from another project.  I’m crazy about the red because it feels as though, I’m shopping in a boutique.  May not have cleared out half of my clothes but 1/4 is a great start.

Red Closet

OK! OK! Still a bit full but the clothes are hanging up again.

Our ongoing Declutter Saga. Original Post from August 30, 2009

We’re spending this weekend decluttering. OMG! We’ve accumilated so much crap! I think back to when we first moved in our house and we heard an echo. We don’t have a basement but, we have a crawlspace. My husband hides our crap in there.

This decluttering mission all started because I was cleaning the closet under the stairs. The closet started off being my craft room that I rarely use. Now, my reason for cleaning under the stairs? I want a dog. Saying it, is tripping me out. I have a 2yr old daughter, you would think that’s enough? No. I have this urge to get a dog. I’m a little stuck up, so, my dog has to have it’s own room. So under the stairs he will go. Yeh, he! Once I heard girl dogs have a period! That help me decide on the sex of the dog. So, he will have his own room under the stairs.

When i’m done decorating his room I’ll bring him home. I’ve always said, “I don’t want any pets. A fish is good enough!” Now Mrs. A Fish Is Good Enough, wants a dog. Go figure?

So when we’re done getting some order in this house we’ll bring our new addition home. Yeh!

NOTE:  We never got the dog.

Closet Mission Organization Procrastination

Happy Monday! Happy Motivational Monday! We’re in our first week in August and time continues to not wait for us. My motivation this week is to get my closet organized and completed. Over 2 months ago (cough cough) the rod in my closet fell down and I’ve been avoiding it’s mass destruction since.

This really is a good time because now I can decorate the entire bedroom. However, I have to start with this closet. Here is my plan:

1.Paint closet
2. Have husband install the closet organizer (this is the tricky part) LOL
3.Go through all the clothes that were in the closet and minimize it by half.(cough cough cough) You see I didn’t say shoes or purses.
4.Put everything back in closet.

5.Replace closet doors with new doors.

6. Lastly, I need a creative idea for my purses.  Many are in totes but there are quite a few that aren’t.  I’m open for any suggestions.

As you can see I have some work to do. Is there anything you have to get done this week or that you may have been putting off? Let’s get motivated and get it done.
