Presto 16-Qt. Pressure Canner & Cooker Review

16Qt Presto Pressure Canner

I’d like to take this time to introduce a new member to our family. Big Mama! Well, that’s what we’ve named her. We purchased The Presto Pressure Canner the other day so that we can, can the harvest from our garden. I never knew that Pressure Cookers came this big. We got the 16Qt one and my husband says that there is one bigger.

There was also an instruction and recipe book inside. Since this is our first time Canning, this book is going to be our best friend. In the recipe book, there are recipes for canning as well as using the pressure canner as a pressure cooker. I already had a small pressure cooker and I’ve used it to cook Ham Hocks. That was the extent of my pressure cooking skills.  We purchased it at Wal-Mart for $64.88.

Our very first time using it, we canned string beans & collard greens.  This has been very enjoying for us to be able to preserve our veggies until we’re ready to eat them.  A couple weeks later we canned cucumbers to make pickles.  We’re on a roll!   How about you, do you garden and if you do have you ever canned your harvest?  What has been your experience.

Disclosure:  We purchased this on our own and this is our personal opinion.

Make That A Double!!!!!

th_Starbucks-2Make that a double!!!!!!  My last drink was…..last year.   Then I was having my good days and…….Now, after a major relapse……Make that a double!!!!!

Starbucks-  Welcome to Starbucks.  Can I take your order?

Me- Give me!  2 Venti Carmel Frappuccinos.(Don’t look at me like that)

I’ll have one now.  The other one is for later.(later is now while I’m typing this post)

I was doing fine and dandy until the pressure & stress, sent me back into another relapse.  That’s usually how it goes.  I’m doing fine and then all Hell breaks loose.  The pressure is on.. Then, I break under it.

I know I could have went to the store and brought more smoothie ingredients.  But noooooooo.  I had to listen to the call of the Frap.

Listen to her(my daughter).  She just asked, “you have another one?”  Don’t question me little girl!!!!!!  I can stop when I want to.  I really can(rolling my eyes).

I know.  I’ll get on Twitter and type in #Starbucks Support Group.  Aw.  That’s right the don’t freakin listen.

After I finish this one, I’ll start over again tomorrow.  Yeah, Yeah.  I’m gonna start over fresh tomorrow but, I’m gonna finish this Frappuccinos first.

Help!  Mamas on Strack!!!!!!
