Potty Training Day 1

I’m back in school.  Taking Potty Training 101.  Today on my lunch break I went to get my baby some underwear.  A pack of twelve and believe me we’re going to need it.

A soon as I came home we put on a pair.  She made Mommy so proud and did number 2 in the pot.  Yah!  Jala!  Never seen so many people throwing a celebration over poop.

The next three encounters weren’t so exciting.  She couldn’t seem to control the number 1.  On the floor, on the floor again and oops, on the table.  Eyk!  So tomorrow will be a new day.  I really need to pass this class.

When is it time to potty train?

How do you know when it’s time to potty train?  I’ll tell you when.  When your 2yr old climbs up stairs to get a pamper and yells out, “Pampa change!  Pampa change!”  All this weekend she’s been snatching off her pamper and running around doing the flash dance.  I can’t tell you how many pampers were wasted during her weekend self exploitation.

With a 15 yr old & a 8 yr old, this is going to be potty training 101.  I’m open for suggestions and I think I’m going to need a potty training tutor.  This is going to be quit interesting.

What stumps, rolls, scream..

What stumps, rolls, screams, stares you down & laugh in the same breath? Did you guess? My 23 month old daughter. Ughrrrrrrr! Terrible and not two, yet. Last week she started falling out in the floor, kicking and screaming. I politely stepped over her and went in the kitchen too cook. When she noticed I didn’t give her an audience, she ran in the kitchen asking “What cha doing?” My oldest daughter calls it baby bipolar. I call it; terrible and not two, yet.

She also does this stumping and spninning around in circles like a tazmanian angel. I call it; terrible and not two, yet. How about when we do the stare down. She has the nerve to look serious and bat her eyes at the same time. Like she’s cute. Naw, I call it; terrible and not two, yet!!!

After stumping, spinning, rolling and staring each other down. You’ll hear an outburst of laughter. She’ll say, “I funny? I funny?” Naw, you terrible and not two, yet.

You Got Attituuude!

When my daughter was just 14 months old and barely talking, she told my 14yr old that she had “Attitude!” We were outdone when we heard her say it. Where did she get it from? Me of course. “Jahmia! Do the dishes. I know you don’t have an attitude?” So, my dear baby girl: the parrot, soaks up every word.

This morning before doing my School to School to School drop off, I was getting my baby girl ready. Must I say, ” she woke up on the wrong side of the crib”. During her whinning and resisting my every plea. I said, ” Jala, you have an attitude!” She said, ” No! Mii-na!” I said, No, you have an attitude!” She yelled louder, “Noo!!!! Miiiii–na!” Can you believe this? Every time she hears the word “attitude” she relates it to her big sister. Kids are so funny. Even at the age of 2, they know when we have an attitude.

School, School, School

Whew! The first full week of school for all my kids. Check out my drop off schedule. Drop off my baby to daycare, my daughter to highschool, and my son off to middle school. That’s what you get when you have your kids 6yrs apart. Anyhoo, it’s School, School, School to get back on track again.

My son says he lost his breath we he went into his class. A liitle girl he’s had a crush on since pre- school, is in his class. So, this is gonna be a crushing year.

My big girl has already had her first Volleyball game. They lost. I’ve never seen a child so happy after losing a game. Her only issue is, she hates the spandex shorts. This won’t be a short year.

My baby girl didn’t get a summer vacation. Well, she’s in daycare, no summer break there. Luckily for me. She won’t be getting a break this year.

In the morning i’ll be singing again. School, School, School! For the rest of the year.
