Kids love the snow! I love it when I don’t have to go out in it. We didn’t get much snow the other day, but with this little girl you would have thought we had a foot of snow.
Look, Mom I’m standing in 1st position! Who can think of ballet positions at a time like this?
Kids seize every opportunity to play in the snow. I went to throw the garbage in the trash and found Jala making a snow angel. You couldn’t pay me to lay on that cold bed of snow…..maybe we’ll negotiate a generous fee.
Another funny thing about kids is that they don’t feel the freezing temperatures or choose to ignore it when they’re having fun. I feel every negative degree permeate my body and bones. How do you feel about snow?
This past Friday my dad and grandma came over to visit before my daughter went back to school. My youngest had to stay home because she was sick and had some play time with grandad.
The beginning of the week she started having a runny nose. I was hoping we could make it through the week and she’d have the weekend to recuperate. When I went to check to see if she was dressed for school, she was dressed laying in bed and weazing. With that being said, staying home was a must. I began giving her nebulizer treatments and by yesterday she was feeling better.
While my father was over on Friday my daughter wanted to play with her legos. Before they began playing with the legos my dad told her to wait 30 minutes before they would start playing. Of course she was anxious and impatient. So, I said, “I bet if I go get your boat he’ll play with you now.” I went to get her new boat that her dad bought her a couple weeks ago……and my dad’s eyes lit up like he was 5 too. LOL he got up from the couch and started playing with her.
I told him that I was getting him legos for Christmas to keep his brain sharp 🙂 They also had a push up challenge and my old man beat them all.
My daughter left for Brooklyn to get more knowledge.
While NewYork stayed behind living the good life.
Oh and I refused to cook this Labor day and my labor was not in vain. I went to get us Chipotle and sat up watching The Food Channel all day.
Now, back to life. Back to reality. How was your weekend and Labor Day?
Last Sunday we went out for brunch and bowling. Fun and food is a wonderful combination for family.
We haven’t been bowling in awhile, but I think I have a little potential. Funny thing is that I’m a lefty and I bowl with my right hand.
My husband……..is very competitive and he won’t stop until he beats you.
Him and my son teamed up against my daughter and I.
Ball took forever to roll down the lane! FOREVER!
Of course we had the bumpers up and this child still managed to throw it in the gutter. LOL
Next stop is skating. My husband says he can’t skate. He says we’ve been together before, but I don’t remember. Let’s see how competitive he is then. 🙂
My daughter had been asking for a tea set….While at CVS last week I found one and she was ecstatic when I gave it to her. The following morning I brewed some tea and my fabulous Princess poured us a cup. She’s such a lady. 😉
She’s such a lady
We sipped tea…she’s such a lady.
Take notes…look at that fancy pinky, she’s such a lady.
My 5 year old child is just like every other 5 year old child. Boredom strikes quick and wanting to do her own thing is inevitable.
she’s such a….
Our tea sipping has turned to Tea Sipp’n. This child put down the cup and picked up the pot. LOL
