Moodiness, bloating, cramps, and fatigue—they're the all-too-familiar symptoms of PMS. While it happens to the best of us, there's no reason why you should have to endure the side effects—you can and should look for ways to relieve your agony.
Lately, I’ve been noticing severe mood swings approaching “that time of the month”. I don’t want anyone to talk to me and I’d love for them to stay about 1,000,000 ft away and their sound volume so low that it reaches -0. I know I’m getting older, I’ll be the big “40″ this year. So, I made a doctor appointment for this week and hopefully I can get some understanding of what’s taking place with my emotional state. In the mean time I’m thinking of preparing a PMS Emergency Kit….break in state of emergency. Here are some of the things I would need in my kit to give me a sense of emotional stability. PMS Emergency Kit 1. Restraint Order against every member in my household. At the first signs of PMS I can lock myself in my bedroom and have absolutely no contact with them until I’ve had some meds or feel better. 2. Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate! 3. Caramel Frappe (preferably a machine but I’ll take what I can get. 4. Ice cream and every topping that can be thought of. 5.Laptop, phone and my iPad (to watch my Netflix) 6. Netflix 7. Money. In case [...]

Help Mama Remote became priority. That was not part of the plan. After my other site went through all the challenges of trying to build off of what I thought was a wonderful idea and dream, I had to re-evaluate the concept. The site platform sucked and it was a pain in the rear. I finally got around to counting my lost and switching it over to WordPress. Along with many other changes that needed to be made. At the [...]

It’s no surprise to me that men will get botox. I’ve seen many celebrities that I knew had some sort of work done to help them look youthful. However, when I saw this topic on t.v today, I couldn’t help but think about the metro-sexual man. If you haven’t heard of a metrosexual man, he’s well groomed and manicured to perfection. You know the guy you see and you can imagine how neatly he folds his socks in the dresser drawer? Loves to spend money on clothes and I’m sure he’ll never leave home without looking as though he stepped out of the GQ magazine. I’m not sure if this is the type of man that will get botox, but this is the type of man that comes to my mind. Right after they finished that topic, they began to talk about the newest spokes”man” for Weight Watchers, Charles Barkley. Huh? OK! Great way to expand their targeted market, but Charles…. Barkley? What? smh Among other things, his big mouth! :-/ I could see him pissing off all the women at the next meeting. (or Weight Watchers) First off, I know there are many men that are overweight and could possibly benefit from this [...]

Whew! Have you ever wondered which Christmas gift would be your child’s favorite? Did you ever wonder if that gift would cause any damage to your home? Well, I knew little Miss Baby Alive would be my daughter’s fave. I guess the feeding, peeing, changing pampers and all the chatter gave it away. Not to mention, we brought her an extra pair off clothes and she’s been naked since Christmas day. However, I didn’t plan on little Miss Baby Alive taking away from our household budget but, buying extra diapers, baby food and the overuse of toilet tissue, began to put a damper on our household budget. I made sure we brought extras, but the fascination of feeding this baby and seeing her poop, excited my daughter just a bit much. The only way to cut down on the extra expenses were to have a discussion with our daughter on taking motherhood to far. Dialogue: So, my husband and I were like, “stop feeding her!” And little Miss Baby Alive was like, “Mommy I’m hungry.” Then my daughter was like, “but she’s hungry.” so she fed her again and again and again and again. (So, I hid the baby food) Then little [...]

As parents of athletes we all know that contact sports can be aggressive and oftentimes dangerous, we never know the actual severity or seriousness until it knocks on our front door. During my daughter’s Holiday Classic Basketball Tournament last week she was headbutted in the nose. I wasn’t at the game, but my husband was there and he said the impact was very hard and he thought her nose was going to bleed. The coach pulled her out the game and had her see their athletic trainer to make sure she was OK. Everything appeared to be fine and she felt fine. (Check here to see if your State has adopted the Concussion Laws.) He had her sit out until the 2nd quarter and put her back in and she was able to finish the game with no complications. However, a couple hours after she made it home we noticed her spacing out and moving in slow motion. We continued to ask her was she OK and she said that she was. As a mom, one thing I wish I had of done was followed my first mind and took her to ER that night. But, I was thinking maybe [...]

Make last night taco meal into your morning breakfast. Ingredients: Leftover taco meat 1 can of grand ( I used honey butter) biscuits 5 eggs Feta cheese Shredded cheese ****You will also need a muffin pan and a cookie sheet under your muffin pan because as your biscuits rise you may get some spillage.**** Preparation: First prepare your eggs. Take eggs and mix them in a bowl. Season according to your liking as you would usually prepare your eggs for breakfast. Put them to the side. Next, open your can of biscuits. Take each biscuit and separate them in half as you would a sandwich. Then place each half of biscuit in your muffin pan. Put biscuits in oven for 3 to 5 mins. Remove and proceed with the next steps. Take your eggs and pour on top of your biscuits (try not to let it overflow). Then take your leftover taco meat and sprinkle on top. Place in oven and allow to cook. Once they become golden brown, remove and sprinkle your Feta cheese, shredded cheese and place in oven for no longer than 3 mins. Serve and enjoy Pin ItNicoleNicole is a wife, mother of 3, CEO & hairstylist [...]

One of my daughter’s favorite TV shows was Fear Factor. When she saw the commercial yesterday that it was coming on today, she was so excited. Well, today while watching the show I realized that I will never hear the words, “Fear Is Not A Factor For You”. Wanna know why? Well, let me tell you. 1. I could never compete on a game show… Once they tell me I have to swim or jump in more water than the bath tub, I’m out! This really has nothing to do with fear. It has everything to do with my lack of swimming ability. I CAN’T SWIM!!!!! Would you know it, a dummy came on the show that could not swim! I’m sure this was the first time ever in game show history. 2. I could never compete on a game show… Once they tell me I have to submerge myself in a pool of cow’s blood, I’m out! I like my steak DONEEEE!!! Cooked to cook-tivity! Isn’t submerging yourself in animals blood grounds for salmonella poisoning? 3. I could never compete on a game show… Obstacle course?!!!!!! Before Joe Rogan can get the word “Obstacle” out of his mouth……I’m fit to [...]
