Out of Control

OutOfControlHave you ever had circumstances in your life that you can’t control. You would love to get out of the situation with two words or maybe three words. It’s so easy to say I quit! It’s over! Leave me alone! You get the picture.

Maybe it’s something that keeps you tied to the situation? It could be money. It could be love or maybe infatuation. What if this “Thing” that you wish to leave in the dust, is causing you to do things you feel to be immoral, heart wrenching or down right dirty!   In the same breath this thing brings you financial support/stability, security and leaves you out of the statistics?

Nevertheless, until I’m able to control my uncontrollable situation…. I have to be able to live in peace & hope that one day there will be better circumstances.  How do you deal with uncontrollable circumstances in your life?  Do you disconnect emotionally, pray or talk to someone you trust?  Please share with me your thoughts.

Haiti Update

Haiti

First, I would like to thank you all for your prayers.  If you read any of my post on the crisis in Haiti.  You’ve read that one of my clients was in Haiti at the time of the earthquake.  She is safe and back home!  I had the privilege of having her back in my salon on Saturday.  I touched a miracle!!!!

I was expecting hair shedding or loss due to the tragedy but I actually believe her hair grew.  Trust me I’m not crazy, I’m serious.  So, my goal was to make her as comfortable as possible and make sure I took extra precautions (deep conditioner).

She said the earthquake only lasted about 45seconds.  It seems so incomprehensible how that much destruction can take place in less than a minute.  She also told me about a sea that disappeared.  The water was gone!  The fish were flapping in the sea with no water.  Her story is a testimony & amp; there are thousands more out there to be told.  Before she left I gave her the biggest hug.  It’s so amazing how people impact your life.  Even in a salon there’s impact.  Would you believe she still brought me coffee back?

Thankful

Nicole

WTFlashback!

th_1-4

We’re having flash backs. No. Literally we’re having flashbacks in our house. Let’s see how far back we’re really gonna go.

We have discontinued our cable. We now have the converter box for our TV. So now we’re watching free television. That’s until it loses it’s signal. Right in the middle of a joke, the signal goes out! WTFlashback! A couple Sundays ago we were watching the Football game and right in the middle of a play….. WTFlashback! The signal went out. Driving us FREAKN crazy! BUT… We plan to hang in there and see if they can make some progress with there one world television.

Couple weeks ago the dishwasher went out. WTFlashback! Now that wasn’t our choice. It just started spitting out water. WTFlashback Filth are you spitting for? So, Princess teenage daughter that doesn’t think this Flashback stuff is cool. Is yelling from the kitchen, “WASH YOUR OWN DISHES PEOPLE!” Who the Flashback she think she is? Amazingly, we’ve been washing our dishes and the sink is staying amazingly free of dirty dishes.

WTFlashback is going on in your life? Have you decided to do something that you did years ago or is there something you’ve been doing for years that you are doing different? I guess then I’ll say, “What In The Future are you doing?” Please, Please tell me WTFlashback is going on in your life.

th_Animated-Butterfly-ThanksIt’s Thankful Thursday and am I thankful!  I spoke last week about the earthquake in Haiti.  I told you about my client that went there the week before.  Just want to report that she and her husband made it home today.

I haven’t seen her yet.  Will see her on Saturday for her hair appointment.  I haven’t been this excited in a while.  Seeing all the tragedy on tv and knowing someone that has been blessed by God with life.

Thank all of you for your prayers.  Let’s continue to pray for Haiti.

Thankful
