My new Greenway Indoor/Outdoor Drying Rack

With the weather getting warm outside for the past couple months I’ve been wanting a clothesline outdoors.  Now, this may sound like it’s not a dilemma,  but depending on where you live  a clothesline may not work.

I’m a firm believer of ‘when in Rome act like a Roman.’ In other words if it’s distracting we probably shouldn’t do it.

While in Costco a few weeks ago I saw this drying rack.

Very neat, mobile and storable.  This week I bought it and it was $6.00 off.  I’ve tried it out. It’s easy to open up and close. I hung my workout jacket on it and it dried very fast.  When I’m not using it I keep it inside.  I’m also glad that I’m able to use it inside as well.   There’s been so many times my dryer has went out and I have no where to hang our clothes.  Now, I do.

The rack has 3 places to hang clothes. Two of those places we can lay our clothes, A mesh shelf and a place to hang shoes or slippers.

Last, but not least… it’s not an eyesore. I think it’s perfect for suburban communities and city living.

Do you like to dry some of your clothing items outdoors during the summer? If so, which method do you use?

It’s an obsession and I know it

I think…I think…I think I know how it started, but I’m not really sure.  I think it started from me picking up pieces from the thrift to photograph my food pictures for this here blog.  Yeah, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Then I started seeing Milk glass, Pyrex, Corningware and Pinterest. Oh, Pinterest!  Yeah, that’s how I got to this place. I’d love to say that I’ve turned into my mother. I can’t even say I’ve turned into my grandmother. I’ve turned into somebody’s mama that collects vintage stuff! Yeah, that’s it.

I’m being transparent here so don’t judge me 😉  It started with one itty bitty piece of this stuff.

A itty bitty piece so not the one pictured. Which led to this.

And this.

Before you feel sorry for my family and think they live in neglected conditions. They don’t and they eat pretty good if I say so myself.

Collecting the Cornflower Corningware is an obsession indeed, but have you ever cooked in one of these things? They cook AWESOME and the cleanup is even BETTER!!! Not to mention it makes cooking that more enjoyable.

I have an all time favorite song that was out in the early 90’s. My family and friends know the song and every time they hear it I’m sure they think of me.

And every time I put this baby on… I sing that song. It’s time for the percolator. It’s time for the percolator….

I’ve turned into somebody’s mama and I likey 😉

Planner addictions are at an all time high

I’m always joking about my addiction to planners.  I’ll get a new one the beginning of the season and all is well with the world… until….I’m not satisfied with the one I have any longer.

The beginning of the year I created a Home Management Binder, Takeout Binder & Recipe Binder using binders from the Martha Stewart collection at Staples.

Here’s a peak into the Takeout Binder

After putting these binders together, I was going to get another one and assemble a planner from The Martha Stewart Collection.  However, the collection is cute, stylish, but the durability and quality isn’t good to use for an everyday planner.

While checking out reviews on YouTube, I came across a community of people that are INTO planners.  I mean seriously, serious about their planners. SERIOUS!  They use the Filo Fax brand. I’d never heard of them until now.  I’m not sure if you’ve heard of Franklin Covey? That was the brand I’ve used for years.  The Filo Fax appears to come in more colors, purple, pinks, blues, yellows and so on.

And again they remind me of my Franklin.  After getting bored with the planner I purchased the beginning of the year, I went back to my Franklin.

My binder is black, largest rings, no closing clasp so I use a large rubberband and it is stuffed.  I did get some Martha Stewart dividers. Her accessories are cute!

When I decided to use my Franklin again I recovered all of my old pocket folders with scrapbooking paper.

Just when I thought I was planner crazy…I found many more people like me. I would love to use desktop size that I have, but I would have a hard time carrying it around.  Who knows, maybe next year I’ll use the desktop.  Until then, I’ll be using my old baby again.
