Celebrating Jala’s Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated Jala’s 6th birthday.  Having a little one in the house really keeps the innocence alive around here.  I was so excited while I went to pick up some of the things she.requested for her special day.

She’s really into My Little Pony and with the release of the new Equestria Girls, she’s been screaming, “MA, I want that!” every time she sees the commercial.  I asked her which of the girls were her favorite and she said….Rarity.

So yesterday after dropping her off at school  I was on a mission.

Got a little sidetracked with checking out Christmas items.

I’m Loving the Kenya Collection and first time seeing these at our local Wal-Mart.

Little girls love the Monster High dolls and Jala likes them too, but I have a huge problem with having caskets in my house. LOL

Here’s what I bought for her birthday.

Picked up a 2 pack set – Twilight Sparkle, her rival and the DVD. The DVD had a $5 off coupon if purchased with any of the dolls. She’s watched it 3 times yesterday after completing her homework. This weekend will definitely be a repeat marathon of the DVD.

Lastly, with the exception of her cake and icecream, I picked up a scrapbook box to store her dolls in from Michaels.  I’m going to pick up another for her Groovy Girl dolls.

The box is perfect and will fit the rest of the dolls that are in the collection as we add on.  It’s easy for her to pick up and go, carry from room to room and stay organized.

Jala’ s a happy camper and says it was the best day ever.  It was great seeing her face smile and knowing today was her special day.

Huggy Monkey Flipeez Action Hat – Product Review

No Compensation Disclosure

Monday I received a package that I knew Jala was going to love.

Flipeez Hat1

A Flipeez hat!  This cute action hat adds extra fun to cooler weather.  Flipeez is from the maker of Stompeez, remember the 2012 pop when you walk slippers?  Now there’s Flipeez!  Flipeez come in 4 flippant, flashy and fun styles – Kitty, Monster, Monkey and Puppy – each has their own individual action feature that’ll keep our kids busy squeezing the puff-ball tassel that activates it’s action.

Jala in Flipeez1

She’s Flippin Out. LOL

Jala in Flipeez 2

She loves her Flipeez.  The only con is that she has to use two hands to pump the puff ball to make the arms raise.  Not sure if it’s because she’s so little or not use to using the muscles in her hands.

Jala sporting her Huggy Monkey Flipeez.

Huggy Monkey tail

I had to get a shot of the tail.  LOL So adorable.  What’s a Huggy Monkey without a tail?

Blogging on the go #VZWVoices #MOM

Verizon Wireless Mom Voices Disclosure

In one of my latest vlogs I spoke about me taking my Samsung Galaxy Tab with me while Jala is at ballet practice.  Well, last week I took it with me to do some research on Concussion Laws and it worked wonderful.   Now, today I’m here again at ballet practice waiting on Jala as I compose this post.

Talk about reviewing on the go… just snapped this shot. I’m sure I could have zoomed in a bit closer.

Since my site is on WordPress, I do have the WordPress app installed on my tablet in order to make it easier to blog.  Otherwise, it would be a bit difficult.   Another thing… since the Samsung Galaxy Tab has an Android operating system ( which I’m #teamandroid all day) I didn’t have to learn how to use it.  My cellphone is a Samsung Galaxy 3 and many of you know I blog from it consistently and I rarely blog from my laptop.  The Tablet helps me get a better view especially those nights I’m in bed scheduling posts for the following day.

Do you blog from any of your mobile devices? If so, which devices and what do you enjoy about it?
