The Mourning After

th_Haiti-Food-Crisis_Eduardo-Munoz-705

Friday and no sigh of relief.  This has been a very trying and stressful week.  My heart is mourning.  Mourning for a place I’ve never been.  Mourning for people I’ve never met.  However it’s mourning.

The week before last, one of my clients went back to Haiti which is a place she calls home, to visit.  So, driving home I heard the news.  All I can do was begin to pray for her & her daughter(who was not in Haiti).

Finally, hearing word that someone has talk to her & they were fine(sigh of relief).  I was so grateful of Gods mercy.  The pain that families and those that have been affected directly is incomprehensible.  I can only think of the children.

I’m also upset about statements made by people.  Blaming the reason of such a catastrophic event on sin.  Now I no sin can bring many consequences but where is the compassion.  Who are we to judge & to decide why someone is going through such trials.

Let’s continue to pray for Haiti & support in any way we can.  I will also like to link to a fellow blogger that is from Haiti.  She has some great resources for supporting Haiti.  Quiskaeya resources are resources I trust.
