Today is Decade Day at my daughter’s school and I don’t think she thought twice about asking me to wear this jacket. She asked if I thought her classmates would know what it was. I said, “If, they don’t their parents would or her teachers if they were from the hood. LOL You know how everyone has things from the past that they refuse to get rid of. He has on shoes in this pic and my daughter doesn’t. He’s 6’1 1/4. We’re thinking she’s atleast 6’2 1/2. Everytime she’s measured at the doctor they’re way off! They measured me at 5’7 and I’m atleast 5’10. Don’t know what’s up with that. 2, 3 & 4.my youngest daughter and oldest daughter making pizza. I’m sure you know who’s I’m charge. 5. Was a pic taking outside yesterday of my daughter while we were outside picking weeds. 6. A fairy I have in my yard. 7.My daughter came to me yesterday with this flower she picked out of the yard. I asked where did she get it from because I planted a flower similar to it about 4 years ago and it didn’t return. She showed me where she picked it. It was growing in the middle of her play area. Nowhere near, where I planted it. If my memory serves me correct, I think its a cardinal. It’s suppose to do well in moist areas. The year that I planted them in front, my grandma came over and said, “dig me up that one”! So I dug up that one and then there was 1 Phlox. The following year they both came back & the one from the one I dug up in the back, came back too. So, now I have 3 Phlox. Man! Wish my money would multiply like that! NicoleNicole is a wife, mother of 3, CEO & hairstylist living in Suburban Illinois.
Daughter: Ma! I walked up the stairs and didn’t fall! I wore these shoes Saturday. Not only did she walk up the stairs, but she did a few laps running through the house, jumping up and down in my heels. I had to take a pair of flip flops with me for backup! By lunch I had changed into “My feet hurt” shoes. Nicole NicoleNicole is a wife, mother of 3, CEO & hairstylist living in Suburban Illinois.
My daughter loves opening the can of biscuits. At first I use to help her until she noticed the picture of the spoon being used on the can, showing how to open them. Now I give her the spoon & let her go for it. She loves when it makes the small explosive noise as it bursts open. Yeah. She likes the scary thrill. The above picture is the face she made this past Sunday when we were making my husband his Father’s Day brunch. She’s hilarious! The funny thing about opening a can of biscuits……you know that its going to burst open & no matter how much you anticipate it….its gonna shock you!
Don’t Drink Unless You’re Eating Breakfast I’ll Put It Under Lock and Key!!!! Call me what you want, but I refuse to be eating out of a house and home this summer! Normally, this gallon of O.J. will last 1 day in our house and with the kids out for the summer, I needed a plan. I used a permanent marker & wrote on it. Real cute, right? It was either this or a lock on the fridge. I wrote on the milk too….”Don’t Drink Unless In A Bowl Of Cereal” Did it work? You better believe it did! I went to the grocery store Friday. Sunday we still had orange juice for brunch. I brought 2 gallons of milk and today we have 1 gallon and a half left. Don’t tell me these kids won’t read! So, instead of my fridge looking Ghetto and ruining my kitchen decor our beverages will be GHE—-T–T-OOO! Are you doing any budget cuts this summer?
You see anything different about this cow This is one of our family favorite ice cream flavors. When I was pregnant with my son I began to crave anything chocolate and it didn’t go away. Whenever I would send my husband to the store, I would tell him bring me back any ice cream they had on sale buy one get one or two for what ever the sale was. If, he came home with only one……I would be pissed!!!!!!!!! The other day my daughter was getting her some ice cream & said, “Do you see this cow? He has a earring in his ear!” All this time we’ve been getting this ice cream and I never noticed the gangsta cow! LOL Before I noticed this, I said the Brown Cow flavor reminded me of my kids. How? There’s vanilla, my oldest daughter has a very light complexion. During the winter I tease her about fading because she gets lighter. When she’s sick or sleepy her skin complexion lightens. I’m serious. Then there’s the chocolate ice cream mixed in the Brown Cow, that’s my son. He’s pretty much the same complexion as my husband & I. Last there’s our youngest.
No public bathing for me. Clean, pee-free (unless my kids go in it) water and I’m good. This is how I’ll spend my summer, poolside. It’s a stay-cation Babaaaaby! You wonder why such shallow water? I can’t swim! Yep, that’s what I said. I never learned to swim. When I was around 5, my mother took me to the YMCA to learn how to swim. The instructor told me to go under the water, hold my breath and count to 20. 1…2…3…..4….5…6…..water enters my nostrils and I take one leap and jump. OUT…OF…THE…POOL! I was done! Never again to try to learn the art of a fish. Oh how I dream of diving in a pool and swimming into the deep deep, end. Then I wake up and find myself, DROWNING!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband attempted numerous times to teach me how to swim whenever we would go on vacation. Let’s say, “It Didn’t Fly”. I could just picture us on a marriage game show participating in an activity on trust and he has to teach me how to swim. Bahahahaha! Oh yea, then there’s the incident at the family reunion. In actuality it wasn’t even my family so, why was I there? You know it [...]

Would you believe our previous landscaper (my husband) is happy that he was trumped (fired). Last summer my husband began showing our son how to mow the lawn. My husband has continued to do the edging & detailing until he teaches him that part but he’s doing a good job on the grass. We barely have to remind him to do it. He has really matured & grown since last summer. Whew! I was worried for a moment! My grandmother & father were over Sunday and we were talking about how quick the grass was growing due to the rain we’ve been getting here. My son said, “I just cut the grass Monday & two days later it didn’t look like it.” My grandma replies, “you cut the grass? That’s GOOD!!!!!” Grandma is OLD SCHOOL and she believes that children should be taught to help around the house. I guess you can say grandma was impressed with the new landscaper we hired. Oh yeah, we pay him $10.00 a week to do it. I should be getting a bill soon.
