We’re excited over at my house!  Baby girl & I have been given an opportunity to review the Hot Locks Dolls.  Thanks to Mom Select & Hot Locks.

So now, we’re here.  They have made it to the final FOUR!  She’s so excited & I’m excited for the girls.

This isn’t the first time she’s had the privilege to play in the finals.  Her 8th grade girls team also made it to the final FOUR then to the final TWO.  Sadly they lost( cheating refs). They were devastated! They couldn’t understand how adults could be so unfair.

My big girl is packed and ready to roll.

My new Blackberry

I recently had to replace my cell phone.  So, now I have the Blackberry Tour 9630.  I’ve been wanting a new phone for the past couple months. I was debating between the IPHONE & the Blackberry.  People may look at me and think, I’m this technology Mama but, really I’m technically inclined. 

The features about my Blackberry I really like are:

10 email accounts- I can have up to 10 email accounts on my phone!  This is like a Super Mama Remote!  Before I got the phone I had to forward all my email accounts to 1 account.  Now I’m able to look at each one individually.(cool huh)  The sad part about this is…I’ve used my 10 accounts already(Eyck!)  Wait!  I just stopped and check to see if I can add another email account.  Just to see what it would do…Wait…Wait….It let me add another one!  AW! SNAP!  I’m sure you’re saying who the heck needs that many emails?  I’ll explain on another Tuesday.

Internet-I love the browsing .  It looks like an actual Internet page.  Before I updated, it took a long time for the page to load.  Now it’s working well.

*The one thing I’m not crazy about is the calendar.  I haven’t read the manual.(I wouldn’t be human if I did) So, that’s one thing I’m going to have to take time to understand.  That and the Hot sync portion.

WTFLASHBACK? MY first car.
This is not the actual car but the same color, style & year. My first car was a 1991 Honda Accord, given to me from my Grandma. This car was clean! My Grandma had tee shirts over the seats to keep them clean. After she gave it to me, I embellished it a little further by putting skull caps over the headrest to keep them clean.

I’d really like to hear your first car story. Come on let’s have a little fun.  I want to hear your stories.

Have you ever had to take out a picture of your kids so, you can crack a smile in the mid day? Well, here is my smiling inspiration.

I’m sure by the title of the post you just about know where I’m about to go. Yep. I’m about to vent so prepare to duck while reading.

This past year I’ve encountered some really Sorta, Thankful circumstances.

I’ve had people bail, steal, do absolutely SHH….., expect to run back in, not take me seriously, act like I don’t know what I’m doing, dictate my every move, change their mind after they told me to do that, have me compromise my moral professionalism (taking a breath), not give a hair what I think(literally), act like its rocket science when its really not & think its ALL GOOD. A lot to be Sorta, Thankful for.

Well, actually I should be Really Thankful.

If, they didn’t bail, they’d only be around to reap the rewards. If, they didn’t steal. I wouldn’t know they were a thief. If, they didn’t pull all that other SHH… I wouldn’t learn what not to do even in hairy situations(literally).

So, today, I’m Really Thankful for being Sorta, Thankful.

If you know anything about me. You would know… I love purses, shoes, planners & ink pens. I still carry a pencil case. I’m not lying! There’s only one thing that comes between me and my pens….PEOPLE! You know the people that ask to see your pen? Never to return to you again? Why do you think I have a pencil case? To guard my pens, pencils and all my other writing goodies. I have the same feeling about my combs but, that’s another story. Anywhoo!

Thanks to Mom Select & Paper Mate. I was given the opportunity to have a Paper Mate Viewing Party. I was given goodie bags for my guest that included:
*A Mini Notepad

 
*Recipe Cards

*Paper Mate Gel Pen-Writes smooth. I really couldn’t tell it was a gel pen by the way it writes:-) That’s a plus because I would only use my gel pens to write in a card. This one I’d use on a daily basis. Also, being a left hand-er they would smear. Paper Mate gel pen is water resistant and it doesn’t smear when my hand rubs over it.

*Design Pen-Looks good & writes smooth.

*Biodegradable pen & Mechanical pencil- made majority of corn based material & will biodegrade in your backyard soil in about 1yr.(A great science project for the kids.)

*Silhouette mechanical pencil- this pen has a sexy hourglass shape soft to touch, and a side advance system(push with your finger to extend your lead).

Also they gave me recipe & game sheets to help along with the party. When the box arrived to my home, I literally had to fight off the little people(my kids).

Since, I live in the Windy City, we had some minor glitches in my party plan. SNOW! Some of the guest I invited were not able to make it. So, what I did was incorporated my party into my work schedule. I called a few of my clients scheduled for Saturday to come Friday night and I asked my daughter to invite a couple of her friends.

The main attraction of the night was the commercial. OMGosh! Check it out.

From the feed back I received at the party & giving the rest of my goodie bags to my clients scheduled for Saturday, I’m not the only Mama that digs a nice pen.

If you are aware of my very first giveaway? You are also aware that we (baby girl and I) have been given the opportunity to review the Rainbow Brite CD ROM.

This CD Rom is filled with games, puzzles, theme song and even coloring sheets. Really cool for days like these when the kids can’t go out and play. When baby girl stop playing, I had a little fun as well. SHhh don’t tell.

Rainbow brite was one of the childhood toys when I was growing up. Like I said in my giveaway post, I personally didn’t have one.

My daughter is 2yrs old. So, this gave me the opportunity to let her play with the computer. You know it doesn’t take long for them to catch on. With a short attention span, we were also able to switch to different activities. And… when she got tired of that, we printed out the coloring sheets. She loves to collect stuff from the printer.
