Mama Minute: How I Cut Up & Store Bulk Deli Meat

Here’s a quick Mama Minute. Here’s how I cut up and store the bulk deli meat I purchase. After you open these packages the meat will not last as long as if they were still sealed. Hope this helps.

Hemp Happy Family

While shopping at Costco the other day, I stopped to taste some Hemp seeds they had out for tasting.  I was extremely surprised by the taste.  They have a nutty texture and puts me in the mind of sunflower seeds.  They also have another taste that I still haven’t been able to pinpoint.

After researching online I found out that they are a Super Food and very healthful to many health problems such as: high blood pressure, diabetes & more.  With a suggested intake of 4 tablespoons a day, I went for it.

In smoothies for two

In Oatmeal for Breakfast

In Cereal for Breakfast

In Salad For Hubby’s Lunch

In mostly all of the dishes and drinks that I’ve added the Hemp Seeds to you can either barley taste them or they add a nutty texture.  Hopefully this bag will last us until my next Costco visit.  However, I will be going this week to pick up a bag for my grandmother and if I think they won’t last, I need to pick us up another bag too.

So, have you tried Hemp Seeds? If so, have you noticed any differences in you health?

My new Greenway Indoor/Outdoor Drying Rack

With the weather getting warm outside for the past couple months I’ve been wanting a clothesline outdoors.  Now, this may sound like it’s not a dilemma,  but depending on where you live  a clothesline may not work.

I’m a firm believer of ‘when in Rome act like a Roman.’ In other words if it’s distracting we probably shouldn’t do it.

While in Costco a few weeks ago I saw this drying rack.

Very neat, mobile and storable.  This week I bought it and it was $6.00 off.  I’ve tried it out. It’s easy to open up and close. I hung my workout jacket on it and it dried very fast.  When I’m not using it I keep it inside.  I’m also glad that I’m able to use it inside as well.   There’s been so many times my dryer has went out and I have no where to hang our clothes.  Now, I do.

The rack has 3 places to hang clothes. Two of those places we can lay our clothes, A mesh shelf and a place to hang shoes or slippers.

Last, but not least… it’s not an eyesore. I think it’s perfect for suburban communities and city living.

Do you like to dry some of your clothing items outdoors during the summer? If so, which method do you use?

What’s your mom therapy?

When I’m under the weather a bowl of soup and NewYork are my comforts.

When my heart is feeling a little antsy… a trip to Costco relaxes my mind.  Let me clarify… a solo trip to Costco relaxes my mind! No husband! No kids! No pets!  As a matter of fact, any trip to the grocery store must be done alone.

I don’t like unexpected items placed in my cart. I like to take my own sweet time and go down any aisle of my choice.  That’s the only way I consider it therapy.  Otherwise, it’s a freaking job :-/, but wait! There’s one person I do love going to Costco with… that’s my oldest daughter.  She’s a good girl.  I must have taught her well. I have to ask her if she wants anything and she’ll shrug her shoulders.  Hehehe.  I’m sure having her eyes glued to her cellphone is a contributing factor.  Those other two, they want EVERYTHING! Everything! everything.

Time for a little mom therapy.  What’s your mom therapy?
