What’s in My Craftsman Tote?

Have something to share with my planner lovers today. Sharing my craftsman tote that I use to tote around all of my daily planner goodies.I’ve had this tote for over 3 years now and it comes in handy.Although many of us have a dedicated craft space, I use the tote to carry my planners and essentials throughout the house. When I have everything strolled all over the bed it’s easy to put everything in here to take it back to my craft space or carry it throuout the house.

If you’re looking for a craft tote to carry around your planners and essentials, you can find this one at Sears or similar ones at any craft store.Recently I had a subscriber say she found hers online at Kmart. Check out the video below to see what I have in my craftsman tote.

5 Uses for Chalkboard Labels and STUFF

One of the things that draws my attention while out shopping and will get me to by it for a dolla… chalkboard anything!  Anything!  Chalkboard labels, tags, boards, paint, markers, paper and the list will go on.  They make them and I’ll buy them.

What I love most about chalkboard stuff is that they are multifaceted.  You can use them in so many ways and continue to think of more ways to use them.  I’d like to share with you 5 uses for all things chalkboard.

Labeling Stuff: Well, duh.  Let’s not just label the ordinary things, let’s label those things that we didn’t think to label.  We’ve all added labels to our spice jars, but let’s not forget to label those containers that we can’t see in.  Not everyone in our home knows where the sugar is or the rice that’s stored in the non-translucent containers. So, let’s label them.

Give a Cohesive Look To The Non- Cohesive:  Let’s say you have some mix match bottles or containers that’re located in the kitchen on the counter.  In order to bring these items that don’t look like the other together, add chalkboard labels and voila they’re now intransigent.

Scriptures or Quotes:  Looking to add some inspiration or encouragement to a space?  Add some chalkboard signs with your favorite scriptures or quotes.

Of course this sign is on a massive scale, but you can go as small or large as you’d like.

Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner Parties: Having a party or friends over for lunch?  Knowing that I’m a bit bias on the chalkboard stuff, but they add the cutest touch.

Paint Something With Chalkboard Paint: Want to get creative?  Paint a wall, desk, jar or whatever floats your boat with chalkboard paint.  Adds a creative element to any space in your home or office.

Are you into chalkboard labels, tags, boards or paint too?  If so, what do you like using chalkboard labels for?  Hope I’ve given you some ways to use them or sparked your creativity or interest when it comes to these functional labels.  These things are so fun to use , but like I said before I’m a bit bias when it comes to anything chalkboard.

Help Mama Organize: How I’m Storing My Washi Tape

Here’s a video on how I’m storing my washi tape. My husband found me 2 of these Sulky thread boxes a while back. I’ve had them for some time now and was unsure what to do with them, I had even put them in the donate pile on numerous occasions and would take them out.  You know how we think we may use something later.  Well. I was right about these.

Finally, I decided to place my seasonal washi tape in them. As I thought further I realized as a planner addict we decorate our planners seasonal anyway.  During the Spring we use spring colors, winter…so on… and that’s when I decided to store all of my washi tape in it.

I have a very modest collection of washi tape and looking to change that modesty.  Like I really need something else to collect.  Using this thread box as a washi tape holder/organizer allows me to carry it anywhere I go throughout the house. The only con of using the box is that I have to alternate the washi tape, but overall the convenience outweighs that con.

Do you use washi tape in your planner and if so, how do you store your overflow.  Check out video embedded below.

DIY Headband Holder- Pinterest Inspired

Last week I took part in a Virtual Pinterest Party on YouTube. One DIY I’ve been wanting to try for some time was the headband holder. This was a great time to try it and organize Jala’s headbands before school started. Watch video below to see how it turned out.
