Mango Lemonade Drink

Oh how I love a refreshing drink on a hot summer day.  We have a little over a month before the first day of fall and I think we need to guzzle up all of the invigorating drinks before then.  Now, I hope you don’t think that you can’t enjoy these drinks in the fall too?  You can certainly add them to your upcoming Football Season Menu and serve them at your parties.

Today I’m sharing a Mango Lemonade Drink.  It’s quick, easy and all you need is a few ingredients.

You’ll need:

1 Can Sliced Mangoes (I placed mine in the freezer so that they would be nice and FROZEN)

1 Can Concentrated Lemonade Juice

A few sprigs of mint (Optional)

3 Cans of Water (Use the lemonade can)

1 Cup sugar (or add to taste if you’d like less sugar)

First we’re going to start off by adding our 1 Can of concentrated lemonade to our pitcher.

Next, were going to add our frozen mangoes and after we’ve added the mangoes, it’s time to added our 3 cans of water.

Stir everything well and now is your time to add in your sugar.  You’re going to stir it in before you begin to add the sprigs of mint if you choose to do so.  Stir everything in well and we’re going to place the drink in the fridge for 2-3 hours or more.  You may also decide to do this the day before an event or for dinner the following day.  The great thing about adding the mango and the mint and letting them set for hours, both get a chance to infuse the drink and give it a rich Mango Lemonade flavor with that hint of mint.

Once your drink has chilled either overnight or a few hours we’re going to remove it from the fridge.Since the drink has sat we’ll need to stir it up again before serving.

Hibiscus Lemonade Recipe

With Mother’s Day, holidays and the warm weather approaching, there’s nothing like partaking in a refreshing drink.  Recently on one of my grocery shopping trips I picked up a pack of dried hibiscus flowers to use in the near future.  The future is now and I’m sharing this revivifying Hibiscus Lemonade Recipe with you.

Hibiscus Lemonade 1

Ingredients:

4 Squeezed Lemons

2 Cups Sugar (Feel free to use less if you’re sugar conscious. I’m not 🙂

Water (add to taste)

1/4  cup Dried Hibiscus Flowers

Tools:

Pitcher

Lemon Squeezer

Cheesecloth

Large Spoon

First let’s slice and squeeze the lemons.

Once all your lemons are squeezed add the lemon juice to your pitcher.  Next we’re going to add in our sugar and fill our pitcher with water half way stir and add in the rest and stir until sugar is dissolved.

This is a 36 x 54 piece of cheesecloth.  You’re going to cut approximately a 4 x 4 piece ( I left it doubled to make sure less hibiscus pieces fall through) and you’re going to cut a strip as well and use the strip to tie up the cheesecloth.

Now, place your dried hibiscus in the center of the cheesecloth.

Pull in all four corners of the cheesecloth and tie closed with the cheesecloth strip.

Drop the hibiscus pouch in the lemonade and stir.

Place your Hibiscus Lemonade in the fridge for 1 hour.

Take it out the fridge, stir well.

Now you can remove the Hibiscus pouch, but be sure to squeeze it and remove the excess  flavor.  We don’t waste no FLAVOR!

Place back in the fridge to chill until time to serve.

Serve it up and enjoy.

Pumpkin Caramel Milkshake

If you know me, you know how much I enjoy my cold slushy drinks. Even during this cooler weather I still LOVE my cold slushy drinks. What better drink to have this season than a yummy slushy Pumpkin Drink? Better yet. How about a slushy Pumpkin Caramel Milkshake? I’ll take two! Maybe three…

Pumpkin-Caramel-Milkshake

 

Here’s what you’ll need to create this tasty drink.

Ice cream- Pumpkin Patch and Caramel Delight

1/2 cup milk (less if you want your milkshake thicker)

1/3 tsp Vanilla Flavor

Just a couple sprinkles of Ground Cinnamon

Tools needed: Blender, ice cream scooper or a BIG FAT spoon 😉

In a blender add 4 scoops of pumpkin ice cream, 2 scoops of caramel delight ice cream, vanilla flavor, cinnamon and lastly milk.  Blend until creamy and smooth.

Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe

 

Drink: Pina Colada Smoothie

Enjoy: A Pina Colada Smoothie is a great refreshing drink.  Wonderful to have with dinner, Mama’s night out or an intimate drink with the hubby.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 Can Frozen Pineapple Chunks
  2. 1/2 cup Activia or Vanilla Yogurt
  3. 1/4 cup Cream of Coconut
  4. 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  5. 6 ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Mix: Coconut Milk, Activia, Cream of Coconut and mix on blend setting until thouroughly mixed.
  2. Next: Pour in frozen pineapples and blend on frappe setting at high speed.
  3. Lastly: Toss in the 6 icecubes and serve.
  4. Makes 4 cups

Preparation time: 10 min

Move over Frappes! There’s a new drink in my life.

In order to cut back on my Frappe intake, I’ll make a smoothie.  Well, I added a new flavor to my arsenal, Pina Colada!!!! Yummy!  We went out to eat a couple weeks ago and I ordered a Pina Colada (virgin).  When I made the smoothie at home my oldest said she didn’t like Pina Coladas until she taste the ones I made the other day.  I’ll post recipe tomorrow.
