Plan With Me Week 2 – Using Squiggly Craft Scissors

We’re already in the second week of 2016…. WHAT?! Yes and today I’m sharing my second ‘Plan With Me’ for 2016. This week I’m using a old, but new tool. I’m using some craft scissors that I’ve had for years. But here’s the problem…. Since I wasn’t using them I put them in the hands of my child and now I can only find two pair :(. Hopefully the rest of the set will turn up somewhere.

Watch the tutorial below and see how I decorated this week.

5 Tips for Functional Home Management Binders 2016

Today I’m sharing with you some tips and a quick video with those 5 Tips for Functional Home Management Binders in 2016. Let’s get some of this paper organized, in one place and ready for the new year.

5 tips functional home

Tip # 1

Make a note of what worked and didn’t work for you in your binders for 2015.
Maybe there was a section you wish you incorporated in your binder. For instance, this year I added a vacation section to our Financial Binder. Anything dealing with our 2016 vacation will go in that section. This makes it easily accessible whenever I need to refer to these papers.
If you have multiple binders maybe one, if not all will need to be placed in a convenient location. Your Financial Binder should possibly be located in your office where you take care of the finances. Your kid’s School Binder, will probably work better near their homework station. This will make it easier when they’re cleaning out school folders. They/you can file away what’s needed and toss what’s not.  Having all your binders in one location may not work for you or maybe they will.  Know what works best for you and your family.

Tip # 2
How can you change what didn’t work for you last year and implement it.

Tip # 3
Empty out your binders of old outdated documents, file, toss or shred what’s not needed in 2016.

Tip # 4
Keep documents that are needed for 2016 inside the appropriate binder.

Tip # 5
Lastly, make sure everything is in your binder, in order and ready to function for 2016.

Hope these tips will help you organize your binders and paper for the year 2016. These tips may also be applied if you organize your documents in accordion folders as well.
