Summer Decorating w/Milk Glass & How I use It To Organize

Hello everyone! Today I have a video to share with you on how I styled my China Cabinet using Milk Glass for the Summer. Many of you know that as of the past couple years I’ve grown a love for Milk Glass. Thankfully, I’ve found out which styles I enjoy. One of the styles I enjoy is the hobnail and the grapevine pattern.

In this video I’m also sharing how I use some other Milk Glass pieces to organize. In every room of my house I use Milk Glass to organize.

Craft space: store markers, washi tape and scrap pieces of craft paper.
Bedroom: Use pieces on top of my nightstand to hold pens, watch, earrings….
Bathroom: I use vases to hold toilet brush and I use a Pyrex bowl to hold the plunger.

Watch below to see more and get ideas. Tell me. Are you a lover of Milk Glass? If so, do you use pieces to organize in your home.

Organization Project of the Week: Coat Closet – Zone 1

Last week while in Zone 1 cleaning in my home which consist of cleaning my front door, entry way and living room I took on the project of organizing my coat closet. There are some areas in my house that I have to stay on top of and reorganize a couple times a year. Now, when I have to do this a couple times a year it’s at no cost. Usually reworking an area that wasn’t working for me.

I’m finally pleased with my coat closet. We added a bench that has storage space under the seats. There are two sides to the storage under the seating so, on one side there’s matching gloves.  On the other there’s the gloves that don’t match.  My reason for this is just in case we find the match…they can be reunited and if we don’t…it goes at the end of the season.  Not only does it have storage under seats, but it also has 3 cubbies.  In the cubbies there are the hats, scarves and caps.

Another thing I’ve been trying to do is only having 2 coats per person in the closet. Our closet gets very overwhelming with coats and staying on top of it is a must.

Here are pics of how it turned out, but also you can watch the video below.

The bench fits in the closet well and I still have room for a laundry bag that we have our shoes in. The bins that I put in the cubbies are from Target and they were $6.99 each.

Place 2 baskets on the top shelf.  One basket is for random items and the second one has telephone books and plastic bags I receive from the grocery store.

Yes, I did hang a picture in the closet. LOL  I also placed a candle in the lantern.  I will never light it, but the fragrance smell so good.

Go check out video below and you will see my before picture coat closet struggle.  Thanks for stopping by.
