Netflix StreamTeam: Pokémon Indigo League

I am a member of the Netflix Stream Team and this is my honest opinion.

So, let me get this straight from the jump. I’m not the video game type of girl. Pokémon Go is something you won’t see me doing unless I’ve been kidnapped.

With all the Pokémon hype as of late I had to see what Pokémon was all about. I wasn’t sure when the anime cartoon had originally aired and I thought it aired in the 80’s, however it actually aired here in the States in 1998.

While flipping through Netflix, Pokémon was listed in the trending category. Who knew?*insert sarcasm* Let’s see what this is all about, I thought to myself.  Within the first few minutes of me watching my son hears the television.

Ma! You watching Pokémon?

Soon I was joined by my son and daughter….

Fourteen episodes later… I was tempted to download the app. Tempted!

I didn’t succumb to the temptation!

If you’re anything like me, I  had absolutely no idea what this Pokémon Go craze  was all about and we had never seen any of the Pokémon episodes. So, I suggest if you want to get a better understanding of this craze. Especially, if your kids are crazy. Begin with the Pokémon Indigo League episodes.   The first episode begins with a 10 year old boy named Ash that begins his quest as a Pokémon trainer. I consider Ash the Anime Dora The Explorer. LOL You know these kids are always venturing out with no adult supervision and instead of Swiper, you have the evil villains Jessie & James attempting to steal Ash’s, Pokémons. By the 5th episode if not the 1st you wanna go get some Pokémons yourself.

Since our Pokémon binge, Jala has completed the first Season and has moved on to the next. Coming from a non-gamer, I can honestly see the fascination of finding these little creatures and the fun in the adventure.  But like I said,  “I’m not succumbing to this Pokémon Go, foolishness.”

But, if,

I’m viciously kidnapped by my kids,

I might give it a Go 😉
