What’s In My Daughter’s Swim Bag

This week my youngest will begin swim lessons at a nearby swim school.  Sadly, in our family my husband is the only one that knows how to swim.  My two oldest can barley swim which to me counts for not being able to swim.

The swim school she’ll attend has swimming lessons all year round and I’m excited about that because it will help her become a strong swimmer.  While making sure she had everything she needs for swim class I think I threw in everything, but the kitchen sink.  In the video below I’ll share everything she has in her bag.  If you think I left anything out be sure to let me know in the comments below.

Sister, look at me swim!

Since my oldest has been gone, my youngest has been using social media at an all time high. She’ll say, let’s talk to Jahmia on Skype or put that on YouTube. What has this world come to?  This child knows more about my iPad than I do.

Last night we were on Skype with my daughter and she told me to wake up her little sister. What the french toast? Is she crazy? I don’t wake up sleeping kids for nobody! So I promised her that we’ll Skype her earlier while my youngest was still awake. The next day I told my youngest that we talked to her sister and later we’ll Skype and let her talk to her and you better believe she held me to it.We also made this video for her and I think this is a great way to keep them connected and hopefully as they grow older, there relationship will grow too.

Although my daughter claims to not be home sick, I can definitely tell that she misses her sister and brother.  OK. I confess.  Stalking her Twitter stream gave me a hint when she tweeted…

I miss my sister and brother so much.

Awwwwwww. Then I replied…

You didn’t say you miss your mom and dad 🙁

Then she replied….you know I miss both of you.

Awwww. *tear*

Do your young children or grandchildren know or talk about social media like its one of their favorite television shows?
